What`s MIM

Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is an advanced manufacturing process for producing high-performance metal components. The process begins by mixing fine metal powder with an organic binder to form a uniform feedstock. This mixture is granulated and injected into a mold cavity in a heated, plasticized state to create the desired shape. The binder is then removed through chemical or thermal debinding, and the part is sintered to achieve full density and strength. Compared with traditional manufacturing methods, MIM offers high precision, uniform structure, superior performance, and lower production costs. Its applications span a wide range of industries, including electronics, medical devices, office equipment, automotive, machinery, and hardware. At KUM, we are committed to the research, development, and production of both plastic and metal products. By introducing MIM technology to our beauty tool production, we offer our customers greater design flexibility and premium quality options.
